Is there a list of past fellows available somewhere on the internet?
Emily Slusser (she/her)
Thank you for this incredibly helpful workshop. I'm sorry I have to sign off a little early.
@Vishnu great question! That list is in the works, I believe, but in the meantime, talk with R&I and your ADR
I really like the distinction between fellowships and grants. That’s so helpful.
A lot of info, but at the end of the day it sounds like the same strategy as you would use for any job application.
Thank you so much Magdalena! These are great insights and great opportunities! It’d be great if the opportunities are grouped by discipline (like Data Science, Computer Engineering, AI/ML, etc)
So many great points! One takeaway- be super passionate in that first paragraph
Yes, but need to build up more of a track record first I think. Making the proposal and CV easy to read and understandable, and exciting to people from other fields was a great point
@Vishnu, definitely future lists on the website we will. Organize that way.
Could you discuss the limited submission processes at SJSU?
Thanks, Julia. It’ll be great if the curated lists emailed also categorized accordingly. These lists are long, which is great, so will greatly help if there is useful categorization.
@Vishnu - great point - thanks
Thanks for the presentation Paula and Dr. Barrera! And thanks for sharing your fellowship experiences and advice, Dr. Barrera.
good to learn more but I don't think I can get release time for research because we are short staffed in teaching, I am interested in simulation research
Kyoung Mi Choi
I learned so much from the presenters. Thank you so much for a great workshop!
Learned about two new wonderful fellowships… The Mellon fellowships seem exciting, I am not eligible to apply for any of the ones Magdalena mentioned… :(…
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this!
Great session, thank you all!
