Does worry (often) lead to avoidance, or are you saying that worry is avoidance in itself? Can’t worry/anxiety also lead to someone trying to problem solve (sometimes, even when they can’t do anything about it, and thus continue to worry)? Wouldn’t the latter be a problem-solving focused coping strategy rather than an avoidance strategy?

It may not align with OCD but I would like to know how doe exposure-based therapy can help with people suffering from PTSD? Would the therapy along be effective or would any drug treatment like the SSRIs (e.g., Prozac) work as well?
