As someone not working currently in an MLIS field do you have any suggestions on the best way to network most effectively for future career opportunities?

Hi Dr. Hirsh! I’m graduating in the Spring - is there anything I should be doing during Winter break to prep for the ePort? I’m taking my last class while completing the ePort, how are those assignments included in the ePort?

I apologize if this was already covered in the earlier question and answer session. I have an associates degree in Spanish. I also took Spanish in my undergraduate studies. I can read, write and speak Spanish. I also use Spanish when needed while volunteering at the local library. I was wondering if I can use any of my past Spanish classes to count toward my MLIS degree. Thank you!

I'm really interested in being an outreach librarian, but in order to work enough to support myself, I have to work remotely. Is it possible to be an outreach librarian and work remotely?

@Tiffany - I feel you. I have a bachelor's in Spanish, and was thinking the same thing. Then I remembered the issue of double using credits and how that's bad.

So I'm not sure where I want to go with my pathway exactly right now. I'm going Academic Librarianship right now, but may switch to Public. So would that mean that I just go with an Academic Librarian right now and then switch if I find the need to switch?
