Jorge Ozorno: Vectors of Change & Human Centered Design
Jorge Ozorno is the founder of Urbitecture and Jorge Ozorno Studio. His professional work includes all scales of design in the United States and Mexico. He is Assistant Professor, International Network Champion and founder of the Fellows program at NewSchool of Architecture and Design. His artwork related to UNESCO sites has been exhibited in Mexico, Europe, and the United States.
His lecture will focus on "Human Centered Design" as a methodology that will help us to envision the challenges of a changing environment in order to provide design solutions in many areas of society. Ozorno says, "We all are designers in our own way and we are in need of exploring new ways to communicate our achievements through social-work media to develop different working models to promote ourselves, sort of a 'thinkers selfie.' We all need to create a personal Manifesto as a result of the development of 'critical Design Thinking.' Vectors of change is an opportunity to envision the near future hoping to contribute towards the needed changes and mutations."

An acclaimed weekly lecture series brings in artists, designers, and critical theorists from around the world, broadening the students’ experiential base and complementing local offerings. All lectures and exhibitions are open to the general public free of charge.
