Summer Lecture Series - Secure the Digital Future II
San Jose State University is proud to present a summer lecture series, "Secure the Digital Future", co-hosted with Kyushu University. In the midst of our current global pandemic, cybersecurity threats are on the rise. At the same time, the career opportunities in the sector worldwide are growing tremendously.

In the second session, SJSU has invited industry experts Jon Clay, from Trend Micro, to enlighten university students regarding the latest technologies in addressing cybersecurity or network threats or artificial intelligence.

Today’s malicious actors are relentlessly targeting users and organizations in their attempt to profit, steal valuable digital information, and potentially destroy their victim’s systems and networks. In this session we’ll look at who these attackers are, why they attack, and some key ways in which they launch and run their attacks. We will also look at the different technologies utilized by the cybersecurity industry to prevent, detect, and respond to the attacks.
